The Great Lakes, part 4

Now let's focus on Lakes Erie and Ontario. They are the two smallest of the Great Lakes, but they are connected by one of the world's greatest wonders, Niagara Falls:

To discover what Lake Erie is shaped like, we need to turn it 90 degrees to the right:

It's a woodpecker!

Woodpecker

Note that I modified the image of Lake Erie slightly in order to highlight the beak - I erased the river from Lake St. Clair. Besides the beak, Lake Erie displays the classic tail feathers of woodpeckers. They are stiffened for support whenever a woodpecker perches on a tree. What tree might this woodpecker be interested in? Well, Lake St. Clair does look like an acorn, so that would be from an oak tree. That's the national tree of the United States.

By the way, the name Erie is a shortened form of the Iroquois word Erielhonan or “long tail” (from Wikipedia).

Now, as we move to the last of the Great Lakes, the lake may be different in shape from Erie, but the subject hasn't changed:

I know Lake Ontario resembles a slug with a hat, but I think it's a huge penis. Yes, a pecker beside a woodpecker.

The obvious question is, why on Earth would Lake Erie have such a shape? I believe it is so that we would think of all the water in the Great Lakes as symbolic of those Europeans who travelled up these waters via the St. Lawrence River, and colonized this land. In spite of what you might think of them, and the mistakes they made (like killing all of the passenger pigeons and most of the buffalo), they are still the Seed of the House of Israel whom the Bible refers to many times:

Genesis 22:

17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed My voice.

Gen 24:

60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou [art] our sister, be thou [the mother] of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

Gen 26:

4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

Gen 28:

14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 48:

19 And his father refused, and said, I know [it], my son, I know [it]: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

They, and their kin around the world, spread the Word of God throughout the world in the name of Jesus Christ, the Living Water (John 4):

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, "If thou knewest the gift of God, and Who it is That saith to thee, Give Me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee living water." 11 The woman saith unto him, "Sir, Thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from Whence then hast Thou that living water?" 38 "He That believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."
